Hi Jason, We don't currently have any plans to, but it's a definite possibility. I know that it's a favorite of Max's. We keep track of movies people request, so I'll be sure to mark it down.

Some nominations for a commentary:

SATANTANGO: A seven hour turd that is amazingly held up as a masterpiece by critics. This commentary might either be the best thing ever or the worst thing ever. I do like the idea of Max's ever growing exasperated sighs as nothing continue to bloody happen for the entire runtime.

Either X-FILES movie: I think the second one would be the best for a commentary because that entire movie is one giant "What the hell were they thinking?! You finally get to make another X-FILES movie and you make THAT?!"

IT! THE TERROR FROM BEYOND SPACE: High quality 50s B-movie. Clearly the main influence for ALIEN. Only 70 minutes long.

Max really is completely and entirely without joy, isn't he?

I don't know why but that story about your friend passing out really cracked me up.

BTW, there's a deleted scene that explains McClane's shirt colour change. It's on the 2-Disc DVD, don't know if it's on the Blu-ray.

NORTH BY NORTHWEST was the eight highest earner of 1959 taking in roughly $200 million in today's dollars.

It was the fifth biggest hit of Hitchock's career behind PSYCHO, REAR WINDOW, SPELLBOUND and NOTORIOUS.

Thanks, Will. We look forward to your commentary on us. Be sure to post a link.

James Horner does write good music. It's so good, in fact, that he's written the same thing over and over again for the past 25 years. But come on, he's no Goldsmith.

I'm Will Decker, and I approve of this commentary. Though I may offer my own commentary on the doings in your lives in return someday.

James Horner also writes good music, Titanic aside.

The best Trek.

The closest one to the ideal of the original series to explore new worlds and seek out new planets and new civilisations.

It's an adventure exploration film, not an action one.

The most cinematic.

Goldsmith's score is one of the ten best ever. Hearing Horner's for II after this is like listening to a one-man band busker in a park.

Yeah, that's the same teacher who made fun of the kid for saying that THE MATRIX was better than CITIZEN KANE, yet couldn't articulate why he thought CITIZEN KANE was so good.

I guess I'll have to watch THE SEARCHERS again.

Anyone teacher who calls TOKYO STORY boring should be punched in the nuts and banned from teaching.

Although I don't quite understand why it is rated so highly above the rest of Ozu films.. I would rate LATE SPRING above it.

THE SEARCHERS is not racist. The main character is but the film doesn't endorse or support his action. At the end of the film he leaves his family knowing he is a relic that doesn't belong.

DeForest Kelley did a lot of stuff before STAR TREK.

I think he saw the STAR TREK movies as his retirement plan.

Bizarre.

I wouldn't say Spade is weak against violence. Afterall he did knock both Wilner and Cairo out and disarmed their guns easily.

Hey Adam, thanks for listening. I guess it's just assumed that everyone knows how awesome it is. Likewise, since we like it, the flaws probably bother us more, because they take away from the perfection. I looked at your list. A lot of those things bothered me too, but I can forgive most of them.

Mike + Max,

Really enjoyed the review. I found it interesting that you guys spent more time discussing what didn't work about the film than what did. I had the exact same reaction (I, too, really enjoyed the movie overall). I suppose with great expectations come harsher critiques, but still.

Anyway, if you're interested in further criticism of a pretty great movie, I wrote about the 25 problems (major and minor) I had with the movie. http://tmblr.co/ZC-AYwQjJTuw

You might enjoy it.

Great stuff as always.
