I think you guys are right about the CARTOONS being the primary cause of Adam West’s high appearance count as Batman.

There were the -Super-Friends -Scooby-Doo -New Adventures of Batman (1977) -Batman/Tarzan Adventure Hour (1978)

….And even live action pilots for ‘Batgirl’ and then ‘Legends of the Super-Heroes’ (featuring Hawk-Man, Flash, and others).

Of course, I don’t count voice acting as starring as Batman, so these cartoons and the “appearances” of Kevin Conroy don’t really count in my mind.

Maybe “performance” is more accurate than “appearance,” but I totally count the voice acting. If I’m reading a Batman comic or something, Kevin Conroy’s voice has always been the one I’ve heard in my head.
